Splurge - Ginza Steak Tokyo (main location)

Most of our trips are budgeted to prevent us from spending too much. However, for our 2018 trip to Japan, we decided to splurge because this was our first time in Japan.  We both enjoy a good piece of steak and have really been wondering what a wagyu steak would taste like.  Of course there are a lot of restaurants in Vancouver that serves wagyu, but we couldn't justify paying the steep price.

Out of the many restaurants in Japan, we landed on Ginza Steak all you can eat wagyu, based on the excellent review.  It was not cheap, but it was worth it!

The restaurant is really nice; it's on the upper level so you get some view of the city.  Keep in mind that you must reserve in advance, otherwise it's very unlikely that you'll get a seat.  The restaurant is fairly small and intimate.
