New York - Day 2

We took the subway to the upper west side and had breakfast at Levain Bakery.  It's a small bakery in the middle of a residential area, it's tucked in between residential building entrances.  I remember the first time I went here a few years ago, we walked back and forth because we kept on missing it.

I got the chocolate chip brioche, KT got their famous walnut chocolate chip cookie, and SV got their wheat roll and coffee cake.  They're delicious!  but they're also gigantic and we couldn't finish them in one sitting.

After Levain, we split up.  KT and SV went on their way to the Museum of Natural History.  I have been to this museum before so I opted out.  I had to do some work anyway, so I headed back to the hotel to grab my laptop and went to a Starbucks near our hotel.

Here's Levain Bakery.  (btw, what do you think of the picture quality? Not too shabby, eh?  I took this pic using the GoPro Hero HD.  I couldn't afford the GoPro Hero4...maybe one day, after I've figured out the full potential of the GoPro)

Later that afternoon, we met up at Momofuku ma peche for a light snack.  We got some corn cookies, compost cookies, pork buns, and of course, soft-serve cereal milk ice cream! and we shared everything between the three of us.

Look at that yummy goodness!  We were thinking of using the hashtag #chroniclesoftheballs for this trip, because we have been imagining ourselves slowly turning into a ball throughout the trip....too much eating!

Well, we didn't stop there.  As soon as we chomped down the pork buns and ice cream, we walked across the street (right across the street from Momofuku) and have another lunch at Joe's Shanghai.
They're famous for their steamed pork buns.  And they were yummy!  We ordered 2 orders of the pork buns, and that's all we ordered. The skin of the pork buns was the best, and there were a lot of soup in the middle.  It was delicious!

This is what the restaurant looks like.  It's a nice restaurant and it feels quite high-end.  We were going to order a vegetable dish, but we decided against it as soon as we saw the price on the menu....no thanks, we will stick with just the pork buns.

As an effort to walk off our breakfast and lunch of the day, we went for a long walk!  We went to the MoMa gift store, where I bought yet another flash light (I have a crazy infatuation over flash light...I have a problem with flashlight.  I have a gazillion of flashlights at home.  Hey, you can never be too careful.  What if there's a widespread blackout??  Then y'all will be coming to me and ask for help!).

Then we went to Uniqlo, where I bought a ton of stuff, and a ton of souvenirs for those back home.

Last but not least....we made another stop to the Halal Guys to buy more mix chicken&gyro on rice, and we ate our "dinner" back at the hotel.

What a life....We should seriously consider the #chroniclesoftheballs....
