Pig BBQ Joint
In January, we had the luxury to go to Victoria with the bf's parents. We only stayed over the weekend, but that was more than enough for us. What did we do in Victoria? Yep, you guessed right...EAT! We planned our days way in advance so we knew where we wanted to go. We were especially impressed with this particular restaurant we had to go there twice in three days :) :)
Pig BBQ Joint
Where: 1325 Blanshard St, Victoria, BC
Pig BBQ Joint was the first restaurant we hit right after we checked into the hotel. It's a nice little joint, conveniently located on Blanshard street. (Note: all the places we went to were located within 10-15 minute drive from the hotel). I believe they have 2 locations so we opted for the location closest to our hotel. The joint itself has a modern interior design; it was also very clean which is a huge plus for me - most BBQ joints tend to be a bit on the un-clean side.
We ordered several things: deep fried mac & cheese, southern fried chicken, pulled pork poutine (!!!! ding ding ding!!!), and most importantly brisket. We came back twice to this joint just for the brisket. OMG. We have to say that this was the best brisket we have ever tasted so far. And trust me, we've roamed around Vancouver to try briskets. So it was nice to find this joint in Victoria. Too bad it's on the island otherwise we would definitely be a regular to this joint. Ferry rides are costly (-.-")
