New York - Day 7 (last day)

Sigh, 6 days in New York flew by in a blink of an eye.  I wish we could stay longer because there are some restaurants that we wanted to try.  But, to be honest, I actually started to miss home.

SV left early in the morning because she took an earlier flight.  Me and KT took a later flight so we still got to go around town for one last time before we fly back.   So we went to Bouchon Bakery at Columbus Circle (since our hotel was only a block away).

Later in the afternoon, we met up again with KT's friends for lunch.  We went to Xi'an Famous Foods; we were lucky to get a table...the place was quite small.  We went to the location on the upper east side.

And then, of course, we had to go for dessert afterwards.  We went to the Lady M Cake Boutique on the upper east side.  Again, we were lucky to be able to get a table, even though we had to sit on 2 separate tables.  Instead of getting the mille crepe cake, we opted for something different, so we got the Strawberry Mille Feuille.  I truly believes it is their homemade cream that makes it taste so delicious!  This cake has a puff pastry layer; it was crispy and not oily (I've eaten some puff pastry that are dense, and some that are oily).

Well, I am 100% sure that I overshot my quote of food for the whole year during this 1 week trip to New York.  It was worth it!  Plus, I have to say that we did walk a lot when we were there....so.....that's gotta help balance it out somehow, right?  :)

'Til next time!  I owe you guys a lot!  I've gone to SF, TO, and Indonesia since!  Sorry I know I have not been posting regularly.  Thank you, thank you, for your patience!

Lastly, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year, everyone!!!  Cheers to an awesome 2016!!!
