New York - Day 5

We started the day with...eating!!  Of course.  What else, right?

We went to Go Go Curry, and boy were we pleasantly surprised!  The restaurant was very unassuming, we walked right by the restaurant TWICE while we were looking for it.  We just didn't see the sign, I guess.

The food was excellent, and the portion was ginormous!  I will definitely come back again :)
It's a Japanese curry, and from what we heard from the people who work there, the food that they serve is basically Japan's traditional comfort food.

Oh, and, I just found out that there are two Go Go Curry locations in Indo!  Mahaha, guess where I'm going when I'm in Indo (although, I just found out that their location is quite far away from where my parents live....It is very curious as to why they choose Ciputra Mall as their restaurant's location; maybe I'll try the Sudirman location, which is right where the financial area is located, so sometimes it's a hassle getting to that area due to traffic).

Anyway, their cutlets are juicy, their sauce is tasty and has a balanced flavour.  And like I mentioned before, they serve a generous portion!

We tried to be strategic during our trip and tried to portion out our meals.  So at Go Go Curry, we didn't order too much.  Why?  Well, Hello, dessert! We went to Cafe Zaiya, hoping that we could get their soft served ice cream.  Their black sesame soft served ice cream is delicious!  Unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen, it just so happened that their soft served ice cream machine broke down that morning.  Eternal damnation!!!!!  Anywho, we had to settle for their "frozen" black sesame ice cream instead of the soft-served ones...which was still good.

After Cafe Zaiya, as an effort to work off those calories that we just ate for breakfast/dessert, we went to the Rockefeller Center and walked around the area for a bit.  Again, we were lucky, it was so gorgeous outside.

From there, we went to St. Marks.  And while we were there, we stopped by to eat.....Popeyes.  Yay for fried chicken!!

OK, next, we continued our adventure to Brooklyn!   We took the subway all the way to Brooklyn and spent some time to admire Brooklyn's artsy atmosphere.  (we also went into some yogurt shop to use their wifi because we got a little lost.  LOL).

If you haven't been to New York before and want to walk the Brooklyn Bridge, I would strongly suggest that you take the subway to Brooklyn, and then walk back towards Manhattan.  That way, you actually get to enjoy the view & skyline of Manhattan while you're walking.  Some of my friends have walked the other way, and they said there's not much to enjoy if you walk from Manhattan towards Brooklyn.

It is a good stretch to walk, so wear comfy shoes and clothing.  Oh, and be careful of bikes.

Phew, after all those walking on the bridge, of course we were hungry again. Har...har..har..there's a reason why we wanted to commemorate our trip and hashtag it #chroniclesoftheballs, as we can gradually see ourselves turning into balls from all the eating out.  However, we once mentioned this hashtag to a co-worker of ours, and her response was "what?  that sounds dirty".  LOL.  so that's the end of the #chroniclesoftheballs.  no more of that dirty hashtag.

And where did we go for our next stop of food?   Shake Shack, baby!  We met up with a couple of KT's friends from Vancouver and ate together at the Madison Garden location.   We were lucky that it was a nice day to be sitting outside.   Again, we tried to portion our food, because we have another plan that night.

We walked around for a bit after that to try to bring down the food faster.  We also went to hangout at a rooftop garden, while enjoying the view of the Empire State

We ended the night by......eating the delicious food from Halal Guys.  LOL.  what a life.  Halal Guys not pictured, because....because were busy eating. thank you for understanding :)

But here's a picture of our friend, happily eating the mix plate from Halal Guys!
