Camping trip (late post)
We went to Lac le Jeune back in September do a late camping trip with the gang. The weather was surprisingly nice and sunny for a September month, we were lucky! Having said that, it was quite cold at night...I had to wear a long sleeve t-shirt, fleece jacket, legging, sweatpants, wool socks, and a toque. Plus a blanket. Haha.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun! We had the unorthodox camping food: hot pot. Yay! It was the perfect food for a cold night! It required minimal prep and we just had to dump the whole thing into a boiling pot. Awesomeness, although, cleaning was a bit of a chore. Other than that, we ate other more traditional camping food, including grilled corn.
Mmmm..hot pot
We went to the lake to take a dip in the ice cold water, but not all of us went in the water because it was too cold! We spent a good chunk of our afternoon by the lake, be it just admiring the scenery and enjoying the sunshine, or playing volleyball. (you can definitely guess which activity I took part in, right?). You jerks! Have faith in me! I actually went in the water and went for a quick swim, okay? There. I partook in a physical activity. I hope you're proud of me! Haha.
Okay, so that was all fun and dandy. But guess what was the best thing for us? The toilet was right
beside our camp site. That was a big bonus! of course we can't have everything.. Yes we have easy access to the toilet, but the water tap is quite a distance a way. It was always fun trying to lug a big jug of potable water back into our campsite.
