Review: The Founding Farmers
Before we went to the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, we went for lunch at The Founding Farmers. We had the Founding Farmers breakfast, which had some sausages and eggs (not pictured), red velvet pancakes (not pictured), chicken and waffles, Strawberry French toast, and Uncle Buck's beignets.
I love the interior decor of the restaurant, which is primarily wood-construed. I personally love wooden construction, especially those showcasing the rough-ness.

Chicken and waffles. Of course. If there's a "chicken and waffles" on the menu, we would always order it, just to try. The waffles (Belgian-style waffles) were a bit heavy and doughy to our liking. The chicken was good, though. Crispy batter, and moist inside.
French toast with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. We loved this platter. The strawberries are fresh strawberries, not one of those candied strawberries. The French toast was moist, but it was also crisp.
Uncle Buck's beignet. At this point in time, our stomach was stuffed, but we couldn't pass the opportunity to eat some deep fried wheat dough with confectionery sugar sprinkles...
